Bluvli Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Bluvli (“Bluvli”, “we”, “us”) is made by DuoDevApps, the controller responsible for the processing described here. Contact: bluvli@duodevapps.com · Website: duodevapps.com.

This policy covers the Bluvli app for iPhone and iPad, its Apple Watch app, widgets and share extension, and the Bluvli pages of duodevapps.com.

2. What you keep in Bluvli, and where

When you use Bluvli, you may enter or add:

• your due date, or the date it was worked out from (your last period, a scan or an IVF transfer), and whether you'd like Bluvli to feel joyful or gentle;
• your plan: tasks, their dates, notes, and the names of people you write in;
• your lists, such as the hospital bag, when labour starts and visitors, and your Things, with any links you paste;
• your appointments and the questions you write for them;
• what you add or share with Bluvli, such as letters, screenshots, PDFs and photos, and what Bluvli found in them;
• your memories: bump photos, time-lapse videos, letters and notes;
• your settings, such as notifications and whether Bluvli is paused.

Information about a pregnancy is health information. We built Bluvli so that it stays with you:

• On your iPhone. Bluvli keeps all of this in its own storage on your iPhone, protected by iOS data protection. Photos and documents can be read only while your iPhone is unlocked.
• On your Apple Watch, if you use one. It keeps a copy of today's tasks.
• Widgets and iPhone search. Widgets show your week and your next tasks. iPhone search can find your open tasks. Your appointments and questions are never shown in widgets, in search or on the Watch. When you pause Bluvli, these surfaces go quiet; when you delete your data, these copies are removed.
• Notifications are scheduled on your iPhone; nothing is sent from a server. You can hide their details on the Lock Screen (Settings › Notifications).
• Backups. Your iPhone's backup, in iCloud or on a computer, includes Bluvli's data, as it does for any app. Your backup settings and Apple's terms apply to it; we can't access it.

3. How Bluvli reads what you add

When you add a letter, a screenshot or a document, Bluvli reads it on your iPhone, with Apple's on-device text recognition and language model and Bluvli's own rules. It suggests dates and tasks and shows where it found each one. Nothing is added until you check it.

In this version, nothing you add is sent to us or to any server to be read. If a future version offers to read a long document with Apple's Private Cloud Compute, Bluvli will ask you first, every time, and we'll update this policy before it ships.

4. What leaves your iPhone, only when you choose

• When you send something. A message, a list, a task or an image you share goes, through the iPhone share sheet, to the app and the people you choose. Their terms and privacy policies then apply. An image you've shared can't be recalled.
• Your calendar. A date you add to your calendar is saved in your calendar app and in any service that syncs it.
• Links. Sources and links you open load in your browser.
• Weekly content. In this version, the weekly content is included in the app, and Bluvli doesn't download anything. If an update starts downloading new weekly content, the download will carry nothing of yours.
• When you write to us (see section 7).

5. Purchases and Bluvli Plus

Bluvli Plus is sold through the App Store, and Apple handles the payment. We never receive your card or bank details.

• On your iPhone, Bluvli reads from the App Store what it needs to switch Plus on: your plan, its dates and status, and a transaction identifier. Nothing is sent to us.
• Family Sharing. If you share Plus with your Apple family, Apple manages who receives it.
• Reminders before a free trial ends or a yearly plan renews are scheduled on your iPhone.
• Sales reports. Apple sends us sales and subscription reports. They don't tell us who you are or anything about your pregnancy.
• Apple's privacy policy applies to the purchase itself.

6. Crash reports and App Store statistics

Bluvli has no analytics or crash-reporting code of its own. If you've chosen, in your iPhone's settings, to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us crash reports and statistics about how the app performs. They don't include your plan, your appointments, your questions or your photos. We use them only to fix problems. You can turn this off at any time in your iPhone's settings (Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements).

7. When you write to us

If you email bluvli@duodevapps.com, we use your email address and what you tell us to answer you. Please only share details about your pregnancy or your health if you need to; if you do, we use them only to help you. We keep support emails only as long as we need to answer you, and at most 12 months, and then delete them. Our email is handled by our email hosting provider.

8. What we never do

• No advertising, no ad networks and no advertising identifiers. No tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
• We don't sell or rent your data, or share it for advertising.
• We don't send your pregnancy information to analytics, advertising or AI services.
• Bluvli doesn't read from or write to Apple Health.
• We don't use your data for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

9. Why we use data (legal bases)

Your pregnancy information and everything else in section 2 stay on your devices; we don't receive or store them. For the little we do process:

• Answering support emails: the contract with you, or our legitimate interest in helping you (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). If you choose to tell us about your health, we use it only to answer you, on the basis of your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)).
• Crash reports and App Store statistics you allow Apple to share: your consent, given in your iPhone's settings (Article 6(1)(a)).
• Records we must keep by law, for example about requests to exercise your rights: our legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)).
• Keeping our website secure: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).

10. Who receives data, and where

• Apple, for App Store purchases, Family Sharing and the crash reports and statistics you allow it to share with us, under its own terms and privacy policy.
• Our email hosting provider, for support email.
• Google, as the host of our website (Google App Engine) and for the fonts it loads (see section 15).
• Public authorities, when the law requires it.

Some of these services may process data in the United States or other countries. When that happens, the transfer relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where the recipient is certified, or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. How long we keep data

• On your devices: until you delete it in Bluvli (Settings › Your data › Delete everything, everywhere) or delete the app. Copies in your iPhone's backups follow your backup settings.
• Support emails: only as long as needed to answer you, and at most 12 months.
• Website server logs: up to 30 days.

12. Your choices and rights

• In the app:
  • Export everything (Settings › Your data): your plan, Things, memories and photos, in a file you keep. It's a zip with a readable JSON file, your files and a README, and it never needs Plus.
  • Delete everything, everywhere (Settings › Your data): this deletes your data on this iPhone, its copy on your Apple Watch, its widgets and search entries, and its scheduled notifications.
  • Pause Bluvli: nothing is counted, celebrated or sent until you resume.
  • Choose which notifications you get, and hide their details.
• Your rights: you can ask us for access to the data we hold about you, and to correct, delete, restrict or port it, and you can object to its use. You can withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what happened before. Write to bluvli@duodevapps.com; we answer within one month. Because we can't see the data that stays on your devices, the in-app tools are the way to manage it.
• Complaints: you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, or to the authority where you live.

13. If you live in the United States

Some U.S. state laws, such as Washington's My Health My Data Act, give you rights over consumer health data. What you enter in Bluvli about your pregnancy can be consumer health data. We don't collect it: it stays on your devices, and only you decide what to send and to whom. We never sell it, and we won't treat you differently for using your rights.

14. Age

Bluvli is for people aged 16 or over. It is not directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children; if you think a child has written to us, tell us and we will delete it.

15. This website

The Bluvli pages of duodevapps.com use no cookies, analytics or advertising. They load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser's IP address is sent to Google when a page loads. If you choose a language, your browser remembers the choice locally. Our hosting provider (Google App Engine) keeps standard server logs (IP address, time and page requested) for security, for up to 30 days.

16. Security

Your data in Bluvli is protected by iOS data protection on your iPhone and by watchOS on your Apple Watch; photos and documents are readable only while your iPhone is unlocked. Because Bluvli doesn't send your data to us, there is no copy of it on our side to protect or to lose. No system is completely secure: if a breach ever affects data we hold, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

17. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. For important changes, such as anything new leaving your iPhone, we will tell you in the app before they apply, and ask for your consent where needed.
